Infrastructure for movements, grown like mycelium — shared, living, and owned by the communities it connects.
Mycelium is the connective tissue of a forest: an unseen web that moves nutrients between trees, links the isolated, and regrows through disturbance. Myceli.al exists to do that work for communities building a more cooperative world.
Mission
Movements should not run on rented ground. The tools that hold a community's relationships, agreements, memory, and voice are too important to live on platforms that can surveil them, monetize them, or switch them off.
We build and steward shared digital infrastructure — identity, trust, communication, compute, and hosting — designed so that the people who depend on it can own it, inspect it, govern it, and leave with what's theirs. Quiet, durable, load-bearing systems: less like a product, more like soil.
The Work
Five threads of one weave.
Sovereign Stack
Full-stack self-determination: identity, data, communication, and hosting that answer to a community's members rather than a platform's shareholders. Software you can trust because you can own it, read it, and leave it.
Collective Intelligence
Tools that help groups think, decide, and remember together — so knowledge compounds across communities instead of being enclosed behind logins, feeds, and paywalls.
Community-Scale Datacenters
Compute at the scale of a neighborhood, a co-op, a federation: hardware close to the people it serves, run by people accountable to them. Small enough to govern, big enough to matter.
Protocol Convergence
The pieces of a trustworthy internet already exist — decentralized identity, verifiable relationships, end-to-end encryption, local-first data, resilient mesh transport. The work is convergence: weaving mature open protocols into one substrate instead of inventing another silo.
Movement Infrastructure
Organizing outlives any single tool. We keep the boring, essential layers standing — code forges, messengers, identity, deployment — so organizers can spend their energy on the work, not the plumbing.
Projects
Fruiting bodies of the same network — each independent, all connected underneath.
Consensual↗
A platform for creating, negotiating, and tracking agreements — treating consent as a first-class primitive of human relationship, with mediators and witnesses built in.
OpenHaven↗
Building bridges in the P2P ecosystem: research and cartography of decentralized tools, in service of an interoperable, sovereign stack.
Project Weave↗
True community portability — trust that travels. Weave accelerates the interoperability of the internet's missing trust layer.
ARC
The long arc, bent deliberately.
